3). Purchase "carbon offsets" to counterbalance your carbon emissions. A carbon offset is a service that reduces the net greenhouse gas ("carbon") emissions of one party, by reducing the greenhouse gas emissions - or increasing the carbon dioxide absorption - of another party. This is achieved through making investments in renewable green energy or through planting trees. The intended goal of carbon offsets is to combat global warming. Learn more.
