Greening Our Homes

This year Sustainable Milton (SM) is proud to launch a series of presentations entitled Green Home Conversations 2019, focused on our homes in town which account for 56 % of our CO2 emissions from Milton, and over 80 % from our town’s real estate. . .

Have you ever looked at the contents of a trash barrel at any of the town’s sports fields during the outdoor sport seasons. Chances are that you would find over half the “trash” in the barrel is actually recyclable water and sport drink bottles. . .



The transportation sector (cars, trucks, motorcycles, airplanes and boats) plus gas/oil powered machines are responsible for tons, upon tons of green house gas emissions on an annual basis, and have been for decades and decades. . .

Climate Change Advocacy

On October 8th 2018, the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released their Special Report 15, stating that the world needs to limit global warming 2.7*Fahrenheit (or 1.5* Celsius) above pre-industrial levels in the coming 12 years to avoid the catastrophic effects of climate change. . .
