Green Up Milton:

A Call to Action for a Cleaner, Greener Community

As we start to feel the warmth of the sun and the promise of spring’s thaw (perhaps a little early, but we can dream!), the melting snow begins to reveal the litter that's been hidden beneath. This waste has blown in from cars, waste bins, trucks, and yards, accumulating along our roadways and waterways. Unfortunately, this litter doesn't just clutter our community—it harms the environment. It clogs drains, pollutes tree limbs, and contaminates our waterways, leaching harmful chemicals into the soil, water, and air. Furthermore, it poses a serious threat to wildlife, as animals can become trapped, entangled, or ingest dangerous materials and toxins.

But there's good news! Together, as a community, we have the power to make a difference. Let's take action and celebrate Earth Day with a weekend dedicated to sustainable initiatives and activities. In partnership with the Milton Department of Public Works (DPW), Sustainable Milton is proud to host Green Up Milton 2025, a special event focused on making our environment cleaner, greener, and safer for all.

Who can join?

Everyone is invited! Schools, sports teams, neighborhood associations, town clubs, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, churches, temples, and especially individuals are encouraged to participate. It’s an opportunity to get outside, help clean up our town, and make a real difference in keeping Milton beautiful.
