Green Up Milton Weekend

ANNUAL GREEN UP MILTON WEEKEND!

FIRST WEEKEND OF MAY

Even as the snow piles up all winter, it is time to think about how we can declutter our streets and waterways from litter. The beautiful white snow blankets the litter beneath but once it melts we are reminded that the litter is still there! The waste is blown in from cars, waste bins, trucks, and yards, accumulating along our roadways and waterways. Unfortunately, this litter doesn't just clutter our community—it harms the environment. It clogs drains, pollutes tree limbs, and contaminates our waterways, leaching harmful chemicals into the soil, water, and air. Furthermore, it poses a serious threat to wildlife, as animals can become trapped, entangled, or ingest dangerous materials and toxins

But there's good news! Together, as a community, we have the power to make a difference. Let's take action in the Spring with a weekend dedicated to sustainable action.

In partnership with the Milton Department of Public Works (DPW), Sustainable Milton is proud to host Green Up Milton Weekend on the First Weekend of May, a special event focused on making our environment cleaner, greener, and safer for all.
