Volunteer Role:
Residential Compost Outreach Volunteer
What you'll do:
Help increase household participation in Milton's curbside composting program through education and community outreach.
Time Required:
1–3 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
Commitment Level:
Low–Moderate | Through June 2027
Key Responsibilities:
Promote composting subscriptions through community events, social media, and neighborhood outreach
Share educational materials and answer residents' questions about composting and enrollment
Engage diverse households, including renters, multifamily residents, and non-English speakers
Track outreach efforts and subscriber growth toward the 600-household goal
Skills & Experience:
Interest in composting and waste reduction (or willingness to learn)
Friendly, organized, and comfortable engaging with residents
Reliable and able to work collaboratively
